Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about VetWay's mobile veterinary care in Riyadh, from booking a home visit to emergencies, safety, and travel certificates.
Booking & Home Visits
How do I book a home visit with VetWay?+
Booking is simple: contact us by phone or WhatsApp, or through our website, and tell us about your pet and what it needs. We will confirm your location, agree on a convenient time, and our mobile clinic will come to your door in Riyadh.
Which areas in Riyadh do you serve?+
We provide home visits across Riyadh and its surrounding districts, covering the north, south, east, and west of the city. If you are unsure whether your neighborhood is covered, just contact us and we will confirm coverage before booking.
How should I prepare for the visit?+
Please keep your pet in a calm, well-lit room, and have any previous medical records, vaccination cards, or current medications ready. If possible, keep other pets separated during the exam, and note down any symptoms or changes you have observed so you can share them with the veterinarian.
How long does a typical home visit take?+
Most routine visits take around 30 to 45 minutes, though the exact time depends on your pet's needs and the services provided. Because we see one patient at a time, your visit is never rushed.
Can you treat more than one pet in the same visit?+
Yes. If you have several pets at the same address, let us know when booking so we can allow enough time and bring the right supplies to care for each of them in one visit.
Services
What services does VetWay offer at home?+
Our mobile clinic handles a wide range of care, including wellness examinations, vaccinations, diagnostics, dental care, microchipping, parasite prevention, treatment of common illnesses, and follow-up or post-operative checks. If your pet needs advanced procedures that require a fixed hospital, we will advise you and help coordinate the next steps.
Do you provide vaccinations at home?+
Yes. We offer core and lifestyle vaccinations for cats and dogs, tailored to your pet's age, health, and needs. We also help you keep an up-to-date vaccination schedule and record.
Can dental care be done during a home visit?+
We provide dental assessments and appropriate dental care during home visits. After examining your pet's mouth, our veterinarian will explain what is needed and recommend the safest plan for your pet's oral health.
What diagnostics can you run at my home?+
Our mobile clinic is equipped for a range of on-site diagnostics to help identify what is affecting your pet. Where a case needs specialized laboratory testing or imaging, we will arrange it and explain the process clearly.
Do you offer microchipping?+
Yes, we provide microchipping, a quick and safe procedure that gives your pet permanent identification. It is highly recommended for all pets and is often required for travel.
Emergencies
Do you really offer 24-hour emergency service?+
Yes. VetWay provides 24-hour emergency veterinary care, so you can reach us at any hour, day or night, every day of the year. If your pet is in distress, contact us immediately and we will guide you on the next steps.
What counts as a veterinary emergency?+
Signs that need urgent attention include difficulty breathing, severe bleeding, suspected poisoning, inability to urinate, repeated vomiting or diarrhea, collapse, seizures, major trauma such as a fall or road accident, and severe pain. When in doubt, call us; we would rather help you assess the situation than have you wait.
How quickly can you reach me in an emergency?+
We aim to respond as quickly as possible and dispatch our mobile clinic to your location without delay. When you call, we will give you an honest estimate of arrival time and, when needed, first-aid guidance to help stabilize your pet until we arrive.
What should I do while I wait for the vet?+
Stay calm and keep your pet warm, quiet, and as still as possible. Do not give any food, water, or medication unless our team instructs you to. Follow the first-aid steps we provide over the phone, and keep the line open so we can stay in contact.
About the Vet & Safety
Are your veterinarians licensed?+
Yes. Every VetWay visit is carried out by licensed veterinarians and trained support staff who work in line with professional veterinary standards. Your pet is always in qualified, experienced hands.
Is a mobile clinic as good as a fixed clinic?+
For the great majority of routine and urgent needs, yes. Our vehicle is a fully-equipped clinic on wheels, and seeing your pet at home often produces calmer, more accurate examinations. For the small number of cases that require specialized hospital equipment, we will tell you honestly and help arrange the right care.
How do you maintain hygiene and sterilization?+
We follow strict hygiene protocols. Instruments are cleaned and sterilized between every visit, surfaces are disinfected, and single-use items are disposed of properly. This protects your pet, your home, and every other patient we care for.
Is the equipment you bring safe and up to date?+
Yes. Our mobile clinic carries modern, well-maintained diagnostic and treatment equipment, and we invest in keeping both our tools and our team's knowledge current with today's veterinary standards.
Do you speak Arabic and English?+
Yes. Our team provides bilingual care in both Arabic and English, so we can explain your pet's condition and treatment clearly and answer all your questions in the language you prefer.
Payments & Travel Certificates
What payment methods do you accept?+
We aim to make payment convenient and offer a range of accepted methods. When you book, we will confirm the available payment options so everything is clear before your visit.
Will I know the cost before the visit?+
Yes. We believe in transparency. When you contact us, we will explain what your pet's visit involves and the applicable charges before we begin, so there are no surprises.
Do you issue travel or export health certificates for pets?+
Yes. We can help with the veterinary examinations and documentation needed for pet travel, including health certificates required for export. Requirements vary by destination country, so contact us early and we will guide you through the correct steps and timing.
What do I need to prepare for a travel certificate?+
Travel usually requires up-to-date vaccinations, microchipping, and specific health checks within a set timeframe before departure. Because each destination has its own rules, we recommend reaching out well in advance so we can plan the required visits and paperwork correctly.
